Cheerio Earrings
Cast in pewter from Cheerios with Amethyst beads and sterling silver ear wires.

The Cheerio Collection was inspired when
I had been looking at my fathers photos of fungi spores, which he had taken through his microscope, when I realised that some of the shapes reminded me of canellini beans. 

I went home to search in my kitchen hoping to find some. Unfortunately we had none but whilst rifling through the cupboards I came across a box of Cheerios and the shape of them reminded me of blood cells. Probably not the most attractive sounding inspiration but I could see their potential and felt I could develop fantastic jewellery by casting them and experimenting with their texture.
